The Urban Landscape Design Cake Competition @ 2024 Melbourne Design Week

The Urban Landscape Design Cake Competition explores climate change, the biodiversity crisis and built environment practice in Australian cities. Ten Melbourne-based landscape architecture studios have been invited to select a site currently under development in the Melbourne CBD and re-envision it as parkland through the edible medium of cake. Join us for an exhibition of cake designs; a live judging by a panel of built environment experts and a panel discussion around designing for biodiversity and non-human ecologies in the Melbourne CBD.

Participating studios include ASPECT Studios, TCL, Oculus, Pollen, Enlocus, FFLA, Bush Projects, Rush Wright Associates, Spiire and SLAB.
